The arrest of Daniel Alves, accused of rape by a 23-year-old girl in Spain, completes one month this Monday. A hearing to be held in Barcelona, ​​this Tuesday, must define whether the Brazilian player will remain in custody or respond freely.

After hearing the athlete’s testimonies, the Court of Justice will judge an appeal presented by his defense. As published by the newspaper Marca, from Spain, Daniel Alves trusts that he can leave prison and have the precautionary measures proposed in the appeal appeal granted.

The player’s defense guarantees that sexual relations with the woman who accuses him were consensual. If he responds freely and leaves prison, Daniel Alves must accept precautionary measures such as paying bail, seizing his passport, using an electronic bracelet or appearing in court on certain days. The Spanish Public Prosecutor’s Office and the complainant’s lawyer have already expressed their opposition to the appeal asking for Daniel Alves to be released from prison.
