Requirements to process the driver’s license

According to information from the State of Mexico, the following documents are required to process the driver’s license for the first time:

• Birth certificate or naturalization letter.
• Unique Population Registry Code (curp) updated.
• Current official identification with photograph (INE credential, professional ID with photograph, national military service card, passport, consular registration, valid driver’s license issued by the Government of the State of Mexico).
• Original proof of address not older than 3 months from your billing date (fixed line telephone bill, water, electricity, property tax or proof of address issued by the competent authority), which includes the following information: name of the street , number, neighborhood, municipality, state and postal code.
• The interested party must present and pass the knowledge test of the Traffic Regulations of the State of Mexico (only for new procedures).

Driver’s License Types

For Type A and B Driving Licenses, the Ministry of Mobility (Semovi) offers the possibility of obtaining the digital version of the same through an app that allows you to download it.
