The 60-story Paramount Miami Worldcenter building facing the Bay of Biscay is celebrating Valentine’s Day in style, with a digital animation of kisses, hearts and cupids made possible by complex technology at a cost of US$3 million.

The digital greeting for Valentine’s Day “highest in the world” can be seen twice a day, before sunrise and after sunset, from Sunday the 12th to Tuesday the 14th, both included, and each pass it lasts ten minutes.

Valentine’s Day, which is celebrated on February 14, Valentine’s Day, is very popular in this country, to the point that 52% of its population will celebrate it, according to the National Retail Federation (NRF). ), which represents major US retail.

This year the expense will be almost US$26 billion, which means US$192.80 on average per person, while in 2022 it was US$23.9 billion and the “per capita” average of US$175.41.

In Miami this year those who want to celebrate for free can simply gaze at the “card” animated that is projected on the large roof of the building, measuring 213 by 91 meters, and a column on its main façade.

In “these hard times we all need a little love”, says Daniel Kodsi, executive director of the firm Royal Palm Companies, the developer of a project that is not only residential, but commercial, hotel, entertainment and transportation center.

The skyscraper has on its main façade the most technologically advanced Color Kinetics lighting system in the world, consisting of more than 8 kilometers of cables connected to 13,400 light-emitting diodes (LEDs) embedded in 10,000 high-impact-resistance glass panels. , according to a statement.

The system, which can create 16.7 million color combinations, turns the building’s façade into a digital screen the size of 2.5 football fields placed vertically, these days turned into a giant Valentine’s card and lively.

The total operating power of the system is 111.6 amps and 13,400 watts and a total lumen, which is the amount of light emitted per second, of 402,000.

It took 12 technicians over three years to design and install the lighting system devised by the West Palm Beach, Florida, LED Smith company, which has carried out projects on monuments, bridges and skyscrapers around the world, including the Empire State Building in New York.

The 27-acre (10.9-hectare) Paramount Miami Worldcenter, with an investment of US$4 billion, is the second largest real estate development in the United States and is currently the largest urban core construction project in the country.
