Israel launched overnight airstrikes at a Hamas underground compound in Gazain response to a rocket fired from the Palestinian enclave, the Israeli army announced Monday morning.
“In response to Saturday’s rocket fire from Gaza into Israel, IDF warplanes struck at night an underground complex with materials for the manufacture of rockets from the Hamas terrorist organization”, the Israeli army (IDF) posted on Twitter.
After the Israeli attack resounded Sirens in towns near the Gaza borderthe IDF said, but there was no confirmation of a Palestinian shot in retaliation.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Red Crescent said one person was killed in an early-morning Israeli raid on Nablus, in the northern occupied West Bank, the scene of ongoing violence for the past year.
The Israeli army initially did not comment on the raid on Nablus. (YO)
