Mexican president sees an “unbeatable” moment for dialogue with the US.

The president of Mexico, Andres Manuel Lopezcalled this Saturday for dialogue between all the countries of the Americas “especially with US rulers”upon receiving his counterpart Cuban, Miguel Diaz-Canel.

“It is time to try another option, that of dialogue with rulers of all countries, especially with US rulers”said López Obrador, who presented Díaz-Canel with the Mexican Order of the Aztec Eagle, the highest distinction awarded by the Mexican government.

The nations of the region must convince the United States to “that a new relationship with the countries of our entire continent of all of America is possible”, according to the Mexican president.

“I believe that currently there are unbeatable conditions to achieve this purpose”, added.

López Obrador asked the president of the United States, Joe Biden, to put an end to the “disdain” shown by Washington towards Latin America for decades, during a meeting in Mexico City held on January 9.

“It is time to put an end to this oblivion, this abandonment, this disdain for Latin America and the Caribbean,” López Obrador said on that occasion in front of Biden at the start of a meeting with his government teams in Mexico City.

Joe Biden said in turn that “unfortunately” the responsibility of your government “it just doesn’t end in the western hemisphere”noting that “The United States provides more foreign aid than any other country.”

López Obrador asked the United States again this Saturday “As soon as possible, lift the unfair and inhumane blockade against the Cuban people.”

Díaz-Canel began his fourth visit to Mexico this Saturday, which will conclude on Sunday morning and in which he will also meet with some of the 500 Cuban doctors that the Mexican government hired to work in areas where, according to Mexican authorities, medical professionals the health of this country refuse to work.

At the ceremony, the Cuban president said that Mexico and his country “they consolidate the advances achieved in bilateral ties and identify new projects”.
