Mandatory requirements

• Two identical passport-type photographs, in color and with a plain background, up-to-date and with good identification conditions (if the appointment is made at the SEF service post in Aveiro or Braga).
• Passport or other recognized valid travel document.
• When the applicant is a minor or disabled, the request is formulated and signed by the respective legal representative.
• Proof of livelihood.
• Evidence that you have accommodation, which can be provided by the employer or by a family member or yourself.
• Authorization to consult the Portuguese criminal record by the SEF (in the same form as the request for extension of stay).
• Transport title that guarantees the return, except in cases in which the required stay exceeds 90 days.
