The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrovhas accused the United States of being behind the explosions that seriously damaged the pipelines North Stream in the Baltic Sea last year.
However, the diplomat has not offered evidence to prove his accusations. Last year the president Vladimir Putin He has already pointed to the United Kingdom for the same thing, something that London has denied on several occasions.
In an interview on public television, Lavrov also pointed out that the West was lying about Russia’s refusals to negotiate on the invasion of Ukraine and that he was trying to turn countries like Moldova, Georgia and other former Soviet Central Asian states against Moscow.
“We all want this to end, but it is not the time factor that matters here, the essence factor is important here, the quality factor of the results we offer our people (…)”, he explained.
Lavrov argued that the task of the military is to do their job, minimize losses and not think about when it will all end. “Our task, the task of diplomats, the task, above all, of our military, those guys who solve the most important tasks there to guarantee our independence, watch over the interests of our culture, for those people who want to be part of the culture they probably don’t think about when it will end,” Russia’s military intervention, he said.
