At least 28 people have died and another 150 have been injured this Monday in a suicide attack against a mosque in the city of Peshawar, in northwest Pakistan, as reported by the provincial governor.
A police officer in Peshawar told EFE that a suicide bomber detonated his charge in the mosque, which was especially crowded during the noon prayer. Police have found traces of explosives inside the mosque.
Also, the explosion has caused the collapse from part from the roof of the mosque, reason why it is feared that there are numerous victims still trapped in the rubble.
The mosque is located within a complex that includes the provincial police headquarters and an anti-terror department.
