Bimbo will invest 50 million dollars in bakery in Mexico City

Group Bimbo announced investments for 50 million dollars in the capital mexicanon the occasion of the 50th anniversary of its bakery located in the Azcapotzalco mayor’s office.

The conglomerate with more than 203 bakeries and plants, as well as 1,600 centers and 3.3 million points of sale in 33 countries, explained that this investment will allow the development of different projects and improvements in this bakery.

Among these, Bimbo considers the installation of a new line for the preparation of baked goods that will employ 80 people during the installation and will generate 50 new sources of work once it is launched.

The general director of Bimbo in Mexico, Miguel Ángel Espinoza Ramírez, recalled that this bakery, founded in 1972, is the largest in Latin America and one of the 10 largest globally.

He added that, from its beginning, it was projected with a vision of the future and in the long term, which has led its operations to a productive scale never before seen in the country.

“The birth, development and expansion of this bakery exemplify our philosophy. We put the person at the center of everything we do. We promote the conditions as a company so that our collaborators find a safe place to expand their potential”, Espinosa commented.

The event was attended by the head of the Government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum, who welcomed the announcement of investment in the Mexican capital by the company that has been listed on the Mexican Stock Exchange since 1980, which she described as a “great pride of the city and the country”.

“Grupo Bimbo is a company that has achieved the development of entire generations that show a long-term vision, in which there is innovation and entrepreneurship of its owners and managers”mentioned in her speech the governor of the Mexican capital.

Bimbo Azcapotzalco is currently an important source of development and economic growth that employs 950 Mexicans, who make a wide variety of products such as box bread, sweet bread, pastries, and ground bread, among others.

Grupo Bimbo products are brought to the tables of families in Mexico City, and other states of the republic such as the State of Mexico, Michoacán, Morelos, Guerrero and Oaxaca, among others.

Just over half of the profits of the Mexican multinational company (51.4%) are concentrated in the United States and Canada, almost a third (29.3%) in Mexico, while the rest is divided into Latin American countries (9.7%). and in Europe, Asia, and Africa (9.6%), where this brand is present.
