The man died at the hospital after a three-minute beating of the man, which was recorded by officers’ body cameras. Nichols’ acquaintances have said that he was a great skateboarder, that he had just signed up for a photography class and was going to his mother’s house for lunch on break from his job at the courier company FedEx. “My son did not take drugs, he did not carry weaponsHe didn’t like fights. Nothing of that. That’s why it’s so hard,” her mother said.
Relatives of the deceased have assured that the incident was especially painful since all the agents involved were black.
