Euskaraz irakurri: “Everything Everywhere All at Once” nagusi, Oscarren izendapenetan
“All at once in all everywhere”, with eleven nominations, and “The Banshees of Inisherin” and “All Quiet Ahead”, with nine, lead the nominations for the Oscars that will be delivered, in its 95th edition , next March 12, March 13 in Euskal Herria.
In addition to these three, Baz Luhrmann’s “Elvis” (8 nominations), Steven Spielberg’s “The Fabelmans” (7 nominations) and two blockbuster 2022 productions, Joseph Kosinski’s “Top Gun: Maverick” are also competing for the premier category. (6 nominations) and “Avatar: The Waterway,” by James Cameron (4 nominations).
Rounding out the list of ten nominees for best film is “Tár” by Todd Field, which has accumulated five nominations, “Women Talking” by Sarah Polley (2 nominations) and “The Triangle of Sadness” by Ruben Östlund (3 nominations).
The nominated films were announced this afternoon by actor Riz Ahmed and actress Allison Williams.
Martin McDonagh (“The Banshees of Inisherin”), Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (“Everything at once everywhere”), Steven Spielberg (“The Fabelmans”), Todd Field (“Tár”) and Ruben Östlund ( “Triangle of sadness”) will fight to win the statuette for best direction.
In the acting section, the candidates for best leading actress are Cate Blanchett (“Tár”), Ana de Armas (“Blonde”), Andrea Riseborough (“To Leslie”), Michelle Williams (“The Fabelmans”) and Michelle Yeohrentzat ( “Everything at Once Everywhere”), while Best Supporting Actress Angela Bassett (“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”), Hong Chau (“The Whale”), Kerry Condon (“The Banshees of Inisherin”), Jamie Lee Curtis (“All at Once Everywhere”) and Stephanie Hsu (“All at Once Everywhere”).
As for the male awards, Austin Butler (“Elvis”), Colin Farrell (“The Banshees of Inisherin”), Brendan Fraser (“The Whale”), Paul Mescal (“Aftersun”) and Bill Nighy ( “Living”) and Best Supporting Actor, meanwhile, Brendan Gleeson (“The Banshees of Inisherin”), Brian Tyree Henry (“Causeway”), Judd Hirsch (“The Fabelmans”), Barry Keoghan (“The Banshees of Inisherin”) and Ke Huy Quan (“Everything at once everywhere”).
The award for best foreign film will travel to Germany (“All Quiet Front”), Argentina (“Argentina, 1985”), Belgium (“Close”), Poland (“EO”) or Ireland (“The Quiet Girl” ).
