A ticket sold in the state of Maine led to an accumulated prize of about 1.350 million dollars, one of the highest distributed so far by the lotteries of USAas announced this Saturday by the organization of the draw.
Specifically, it is the second largest prize in the history of the Mega Millions lottery, which is played in most states in the country, and the fourth largest registered among all draws of this type that are held in the United States.
The absolute record was set last November, when a person won 2.040 million dollars in the Powerball lottery.

In this case, the winning ticket contained the six numbers and the extra ball drawn in a draw held late on Friday.
In a statement, Mega Millions announced this Saturday that there is a single winner, who will take the huge accumulated prize after repeated rounds without a hit.
“Congratulations to the Maine State Lottery, who just won their first Mega Millions jackpot,” Pat McDonald, director of the consortium that manages this lottery, pointed out in the note.
