In the middle of its diversion to Cali, lightning struck the plane, “which is why the aircraft was subjected to review,” indicated the Presidency, which also requested “a report from the Colombian Air Force (FAC) to find out details of possible affectations”.

Gustavo Petro was going to Popayán to attend to the emergency caused by a landslide on the Pan-American Highway, the main highway in southwestern Colombia, which devastated homes in the rural area of ​​La Soledad and caused approximately 700 homeless people.
