After months of battlefield setbacks in Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin has starred in a harsh live fight with one of his own subordinates.
The Russian leader confronted one of his ministers while He was meeting with government officials this Wednesday. The sticking point came when Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov publicly corrected Putin after he complained that some companies had yet to win contracts to build new planes this year.
Pictures from the meeting show that Manturov was quick to reply that “investment projects” were underway, but Putin interrupted him to complain that he was “taking too long”.
“We have contracts, as I already reported, with the Ministry of Defense and the civil sector. Everything is ready,” said Minister Manturov, to which the president emphatically responded: “Denis Valentinovich, you have everything ready, but not the contracts. I’m telling you. Let’s end the meeting.”
“Why do we mess with each other? I know there are no contracts in companies, the directors told me. Why do you play crazy?“Putin scolded him.
Putin also took advantage of that meeting to ensure that all “problems” related to his so-called “special military operation” against Ukraine would soon be resolved. At the same time, he stated that the country had not suffered any consequences as a result of the war.
