Several people have been injured this Wednesday early in the morning in the Paris North Station, the station with the highest passenger traffic in Europe, in an attack with a knife carried out by a man.
The Minister of the Interior of the Government of France, Gerald Darmaninhas explained what happened on his Twitter account: “An individual has injured several people this morning at the North Station. He has been quickly neutralized. Thanks to the forces of order for their effective and courageous reaction,” says the message
According to the radio, France Info, the events occurred around 06:40 when the assailant attacked several travelers inside the station for unknown reasons. An agent neutralized him by shooting him, and he was immediately arrested.
The state railway company SNCF has explained that the injured have been evacuated from the station shortly after the emergency services arrived at the scene of the attack. The area has been cordoned off, while the train service works normally.
