“We were only able to identify three of those boys and the rest we do not know their identity,” he said.

The kidnapping would have occurred in the first days of September when the coyoteros deceived the relatives by pretending that they had already crossed into the United States so that they deposit the rest of the money. The migrants had left different provinces of Ecuador and had taken different routes to reach Mexico.

“They arrived in Ciudad Juárez and after that the earth ate them up, supposedly they made us pay for transportation and finally they told us that they were kidnapped and that we had to pay for the ransom,” said one of the mothers of the kidnapped, who added that despite paying what they asked for, they were not released.

The relatives request the intervention of the authorities to obtain their release. They also revealed messages that they have been sent threatening to kill their relatives.

The organization indicated that whoever has information that helps to find the whereabouts of the young people can contact 1-631-408-1994 in the United States or 099-513-5222 in Ecuador, as well as their social media.

On December 19, several migrants were rescued, including Ecuadorians, who had been kidnapped by people who identified themselves as members of the Sinaloa cartel. (YO)
