A six-year-old boy shot a teacher at a school in the US state of Virginia on Friday, seriously injuring her, authorities reported today.
“The teacher’s life is believed to be in danger. The investigation is ongoing,” the local police office, Newport News, said in a statement.
Authorities quickly assured that no students were injured and that the incident had been confined to a single classroom.
Police have not yet released any further details about the altercation. The 6-year-old boy who fired the shot is in custody.
