He had been dead for five years, but he paid the rent on time for his house

Not even in a movie script could one imagine what a family was going to experience with an ‘excellent’ tenant. In Valladolid an incredible story took place and its outcome was even sadder.

At the end of November, the Police received an alert from a group of people who were going to occupy an apparently abandoned property. They had invaded a house and found an unusual tenant, so they ran away in terror.

The Spanish newspaper El Mundo He explained that the squatters found a mummified man on Bailarín Vicente Escudero street in Valladolid. It was about Antonio Torralba, a 64-year-old office worker, who had been dead for five years and nobody knew.

Torralba had lived on the property since 2003 and its owner was surprised by the call from the Police reporting the news.

“I paid the rent every month, since I had a permanent transfer order in the bank account. The phone was active, although the answering machine went off, ”he said before the Spanish media.

The clerk was the last remaining occupant of the six-unit block and because of their good relationship they hadn’t been torn down for him.

Days later from the City Council it was announced that they will take care of the man’s burial since his brother and only relative indicated that he does not have the resources to do so.

According to the autopsy, Torralba died four and a half years ago of natural causes. (YO)
