Today the first ship with grain from Ukraine will set sail

“The ships are already loaded. Everything is ready. There are some minor complications. The first ship can set sail tomorrow morning (for today),” Turkish Presidency spokesman Ibrahim Kalin said during an interview on Turkish broadcaster Kanal 7.

Thanks to the mediation of TurkeyMoscow and kyiv signed an agreement in Istanbul on July 22, which provides for the export of around 22 million tons of grain from three Ukrainian ports, Odessa, Pivdennyi and Chornomorsk.

Ukrainian tugboats will carry sea convoys along a route no danger of floating mines and Turkish navy ships will accompany them to the Bosphorus.

Since the signing of the agreement works in Istanbul a coordination and supervision center of this maritime route, with 20 representatives, both civil and military, sent by Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and the United Nations.
