Apple launched the production of new smartphones. This is reported by the Chinese edition of the South China Morning Post.
Apple’s largest partner in China, Foxconn, has hired additional employees, sources said. It is believed that the hiring of new employees is associated with the start of production of the iPhone 14 series smartphones. The assembly of devices will begin at the company’s production complex in Zhengzhou.
Also, the authors of SCMP found that Foxconn significantly increased the amount of wages that an employee on the assembly line will receive. When concluding a contract for a period of more than four months, the specialist will receive 9,000 yuan, or about 73 thousand rubles a month.
According to journalists, Foxconn usually spends additional hiring every summer and sets bonuses to help fulfill Apple’s order. The share of the Chinese corporation accounts for about 80 percent of all released iPhone. Apple is expected to introduce four smartphone models this fall.
At the end of May, The Wall Street Journal sources said that Apple will increase the production of equipment outside of China due to problems. The American company is unhappy with the restrictions imposed by the authorities of the region due to new outbreaks of coronavirus.
