Bloomberg: Apple will release iPhone 14 Pro with a new screen and A16 processor at the end of the year

At the end of 2022, Apple will release four new iPhones, two of which will receive a new processor and an improved camera system. The characteristics of the iPhone 14 and 14 Pro were revealed by Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman.

According to Gurman, in 2022 the iPhone lineup will consist of four devices: two base models and two Pro versions. The first phones will receive the A15 chip, which is already installed in the iPhone 13. In addition, the mini version with a 5.4-inch screen will be replaced with a Max with a diagonal of 6.7 inches.

iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will get a new chip and screen. First, only these models will be equipped with the new A16 processor. Apple will change the front panel of devices: the frames around the screen will become thinner, and round cutouts for the front camera and the FaceID system will appear instead of bangs. The main camera, claims Gurman, will have a resolution of 48 megapixels.

All iPhone models will continue to have a Lightning connector, despite rumors that Apple will install USB-C. The journalist assumes that the transition to the universal standard will take place in 2023. In addition to the iPhone, Apple will release three versions of the Apple Watch before the end of the year, including the budget SE model, the basic Series 8, and the model with an increased protection class for active sports.

In early June, 9to5mac confirmed that the iPhone 14 has an Always-On-Display feature. It allows you to constantly display certain information on the off screen – time, date, weather information, other notifications.
