Tom’s Hardware: The depreciation of bitcoin led to a fall in the price of video cards around the world
The cost of computer graphics cards around the world has dropped significantly due to the collapse of the cryptocurrency exchange rate. This writes Tom’s Hardware.
To do this, analysts analyzed the average prices of the most purchased accelerator models in Europe and the USA both in online and offline stores. Since the beginning of the summer of 2022, the GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card has reduced its price from $900 to $650, and a set of six such devices will cost the buyer $2,500. In stores, such a video card with an official guarantee can be bought for $ 770.
In Russian stores you can find another popular model GeForce RTX 3060 worth about 50 thousand rubles, and on the Internet even cheaper than 40 thousand.

In general, experts estimate a price drop of ten percent on online platforms, and two percent in stores. Experts explain this trend by the depreciation of bitcoin, which leads to a natural depreciation of other currencies.
In May, the author of the Digital Media project Pavel Sinyakov, in an interview with Lenta.ru, said that if bitcoin falls in price by about 30 percent, then prices for video cards can be observed on the sites.
