Last year’s Realme GT Pro turned out to be a decent smartphone, but it also had a few limitations that made it difficult to call this device a flagship. This year, the Chinese decided to give up all compromises. Realme GT 2 Pro was supposed to be a real flagship – beautiful, powerful and standing out from the crowd. Has this plan been successful?
Realme GT 2 Pro – APPEARANCE
When it comes to standing out from the crowd, it’s hard to have any doubts in this respect: Realme GT 2 Pro is eye-catching. The most original element here are the backs made of o matte invoice. Glass fans may feel a bit disappointed, but I am personally enchanted by this design. The mint-colored variant looks particularly attractive.

On the left edge of the device you will find volume control buttons, and on the right edge a power switch. Placed at the bottom USB-C portcard slot SIM and one of the two stereo speakers. There is no 3.5 mm audio output, but unfortunately this is an industry standard. The Realme GT 2 Pro weighs 189 g and is 8.2 mm thick.
The fingerprint reader is placed under the screen here. It works quickly and efficiently. We can also use face unlocking – this solution also works without any problems. My only complaint with the design concerns not certified for waterproofing.

Realme GT 2 Pro – SCREEN
As befits a top smartphone, Realme GT2 Pro has a top screen. It is a display AMOLED diagonal 6.7 inch and resolution QHD + (3216 x 1440). Thanks technology LTPO2 the device offers a variable screen refresh rate in the range of 1-120 Hz, depending on the tasks performed. So we can count on smooth operation and greater energy efficiency than in the case of a fixed refresh rate.
When it comes to quality imagethis Realme GT 2 it is in a class of its own. The smartphone offers excellent reproduction colors and tall contrasta brightness maximal goes back 1,400 rivets. The icing on the cake is the glass that protects the display Gorilla Glass Victus.

Realme GT 2 Pro – PRODUCTIVITY
The specification is also proof of the uncompromising nature of this device. The smartphone drives new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip (1×3.00 GHz + 3×2.50 GHz + 4×1.80 GHz.), Which was made in the technology 4 nm. We also have available 12 GB RAM and 256 GB data memory. Importantly, z high-speed UFS 3.1 memory. we can separate an additional from 3 to 7 GB of virtual RAM.
GT 2 Pro shows its strength in the benchmarks. This is the first smartphone I have tested, which exceeded the magic barrier of 1 million points in the AnTuTu Benchmark application. It is worth noting that he did it in the so-called GT mode, which increases energy consumption and causes the device to heat up strongly, but even with the GT turned off, the smartphone reached over 900,000. points.

The smartphone is also doing great during everyday use. Both the system Android 12 with overlay Realme UI 3.0, as well as the applications themselves run smoothly and quickly. Of course, the GT 2 Pro has no problems with even the most demanding 3D games and applications.
In terms of connectivity, we find the full package here: Wi-Fi, 5G, LTE, Bluetooth 5.2 and an NFC module. Among the available sensors, we also have, among others, gyroscope, light sensor, accelerometer, color spectrum sensor or digital compass.

Realme GT2 Pro – THE CAMERA
The main camera in Realme GT 2 Pro is equipped with a set of three lenses:
- main lens – 50 MP, Sony IMX733, 1 / 1.56 “, f / 1.8, OIS;
- lens ultra wide angle – 50 MP, f / 2.2 with a field of view up to 150 degrees;
- lens microscopic – 3 MP, f / 3.0.
So we have a few surprises here. The negative one is the lack of a telephoto lens, and thus the lack of an optical zoom function. This is a big surprise, because the telephoto lens has already become an inseparable element of most photographic flagships.
Nice surprises are the strong main lens z classic Sony IMX733 matrix and OIS functionas well as an ultra eyelet with a field of view up to 150 degrees. This is undoubtedly one of the “widest” lenses in a smartphone that I have had the opportunity to test.
I am also glad that instead of the lens macrowhich in most smartphones calls for vengeance to heaven, Realme has opted for a much more original solution – digital microscope (x20 and x40). The fun with this “gadget” is great, although I would not be offended by the slightly higher resolution of the matrix.
Quality Daytime shots with main and ultra lenses are very good. The frames are sharp and their colors are natural. In the case of night photos, there is a clear advantage of the main camera. Here, the ultra-wide angle often loses focus and artifacts appear in the photos. Overall, Realme GT 2 Pro does not have the best night mode on the market (here, however, both Samsung and Apple are better), but there is nothing to be ashamed of either. I think better software could squeeze a lot more out of this camera – all in the hands of Realme engineers.
Realme GT 2 Pro records video in 4K / 60k / s resolution, and even in 8K, although in the latter case, the videos significantly lose their image fluidity. We also have a selfie camera (32 MP) at our disposal.

Realme GT 2 Pro – BATTERY
The Realme smartphone has a battery with a capacity 5000 mAh. The device can work for 2 days on a single charge. This time will be significantly shortened if we set a fixed refresh rate on the level 120 Hz. For this reason, it’s better to use variable refresh.
Impressive is the quick charging with a power of 65W, thanks to which the battery from 0 to 100 percent. we will fill it in just 35 minutes. It is a pity that the manufacturer did not equip the device with the function charging wirelesswhich is available with most of the competition’s flagships.

Realme GT 2 Pro – SUMMARY
Realme GT 2 Pro is a much better smartphone than its predecessor, and also probably the first model of this manufacturer that can be described as a real flagship. We can count on an original design and a phenomenal display AMOLED, unbeatable performance, as well as a good, if not brilliant camera. As for the disadvantages, I would only point to the lack of a waterproof standard, the lack of wireless charging, and the absence of a telephoto lens.

As for the price, it seems to me that it is neither too high nor particularly attractive. PLN 3,499 for the 12/128 GB version very well reflects the capabilities of this device. Personally, I would refrain from buying it until the price drops slightly below 3,000. zloty.
