Even before the human being stepped on the moon, it was the object of admiration and curiosity. The United States, one of the greatest precursors of space exploration, has invested millions of dollars in investigating the possibilities that this satellite offers to Earth.
According to official documents released by the ‘Vice’ media outlet, the US government allocated a large part of its budget to conduct experimental studies on tunnels on the moon, traversable wormholes, invisibility cloaks and even UFOs.
These documents, from the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), were exposed to the public after the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) presented by ‘Vice’. This program, kept secret by the Department of Defense between 2007 and 2012, was only revealed in 2017.
According to the outlet, the aerospace research project aimed to “study the military and defense capabilities of a variety of exotic speculative technologies.” However, he did not succeed in his other experimental plans, such as tunneling into the moon using nuclear bombs.
The thermonuclear explosives the United States was investigating would pierce through the moon’s crust to expose the core, where they hoped to find ultra-light steel-like metals.
Among the other projects that the US government was considering was the possibility of creating an invisibility cloak, which would hide whoever wore it. Scientists demonstrated the infeasibility of this artifact since “they require materials in which the speed of light approaches infinity.” (I)
