Apple “buried” the popular computer

Apple has removed the mention of the Intel-based iMac from its website. Reported by the edition 9to5mac.

21.5-inch computers based on Intel processors have been removed from the range of the company’s online store. According to journalists, the company actually “buried” the popular model. The iMac page has a 27-inch model based on Intel processors and a 24-inch computer with an ARM-based M1 chip. In this case, the device can be purchased, but only via a direct link. The authors believe that in the near future the company will stop producing devices and deprive users of any opportunity to purchase old models.

According to experts, Apple decided to remove desktop devices from sale in connection with the transition of computers to their own processors. “This device was popular with buyers in educational institutions,” the journalists noted, stressing that the model was criticized for its outdated design and relatively low performance.

Earlier, patents for new Apple computers were discovered on the network. According to the disclosed documents, after the release of the MacBook Pro with “monobrow”, the cutout should appear on the screen of the iMac desktop computer.
