IDC reported that computer sales declined in the first quarter of 2022
Global computer sales declined in the first quarter of 2022. This is reported by TechRadar.
In the first quarter of 2022, vendors shipped 80.5 million computers to the market, according to IDC. This is 5.1 percent less than in the same period last year. Experts concluded that the growth in computer sales has stopped, the indicators have reached pre-pandemic levels.
The organization’s experts found that, despite the decline, the computer market shows outstanding performance. First of all, manufacturers manage to sell a large number of stationary PCs, laptops, gaming computers, despite interruptions in supplies and shortages of components. The report also states that specialists recorded the seventh quarter in a row when computer sales exceeded 80 million copies.
