Samsung began selling new smartphones without charging in the US
Samsung has stopped offering free chargers to new budget smartphones. This is reported by the publication GizmoChina.
As media journalists noticed, Samsung launched the Galaxy A13 4G smartphone in the US. A cheap smartphone priced at $190 did not receive a free charging adapter in the box. According to experts, this is the first affordable device of the brand, supplied without accessories – previously Samsung sold only expensive models without chargers.
“The device has a 5,000 milliamp-hour battery that supports 15-watt fast charging. It is noteworthy that the A13 4G in the US does not come with a charging adapter,” the authors emphasized. At the same time, in other regions – for example, in Europe and India – the device entered the market with an adapter included. According to experts, Samsung began to selectively refuse a free adapter in a number of regions.
Samsung Galaxy A13 4G has a 6.6-inch screen with a resolution of 2408×1080 pixels, an Exynos 850 chip, 3 gigabytes of RAM and 32 gigabytes of internal memory, a main camera with four lenses with a resolution of 50, 5, 2 and 2 megapixels.
In early March, SamMobile sources said that Samsung intends to stop packing all its smartphones with free chargers. According to insiders, the first phones without a charging adapter will be the Galaxy A13, Galaxy A23, Galaxy M23 and Galaxy M33.
