Named a method of supplying equipment to Russia under sanctions

Analyst Polovnikov announced the possible supply of equipment to Russia through Turkey

Due to sanctions and withdrawal from the market of some companies in Russia, there may be problems with the supply of Western equipment. However, there is no complete ban on such trade, so there will be ways to buy gadgets through third countries, says Sergey Polovnikov, head of the Content Review agency. He named the method of supplying equipment to Russia in the new conditions in a conversation with Lenta.ru.

Any neighboring country that has not joined the sanctions and plans to continue to cooperate with Russia can become a hub for the supply of equipment. Sergey Polovnikov named Russia’s key economic partners among such states.

“By countries, these are primarily China and Turkey. Moreover, there is no question of any strict embargo. If a week ago it was scary that shipping would be banned, now let’s come up with something new. We come up with something new every time. This is not the beginning of the nineties, when there was complete trash and waste. What is happening then and now is heaven and earth, ”the specialist explained.

Logistics is the least of the troubles. What difference does it make how the equipment arrives, it will still be more expensive and less efficient than before

Russia will not face a shortage of goods, but the demand for them will fall. The priority will be cheaper brands and models, Polovnikov believes.

“As for the mass segment equipment that the Russians actually use, there will be no problems with it,” the analyst concluded.

On March 2, Apple suspended the supply of equipment to Russia and limited the operation of Apple Pay. On the same day, Canon made a similar decision. They also decided to suspend cooperation between Oracle, Microsoft and a number of other corporations.
