The expert also admitted a shortage of devices in the country. He described the near future in the smartphone market in Russia in a conversation with Lenta.ru.

According to the editor-in-chief of Wylsacom Media, the companies will most likely try to continue to be present in the market, but in a reduced volume, as there are problems with pricing at the moment.

“The situation is complicated in terms of the exchange rate, they have to set a price for the future, and no one can decide exactly which one. In addition, these are difficulties with logistics, they cannot bring devices for future use, roughly speaking, distributors do not buy, because they cannot understand what is happening at all – they paid for the goods and do not know when they will arrive. Such a difficult situation for all parties, and in this situation it is easier for everyone to temporarily suspend activity and try to figure out what will happen in the near future, ”the expert explained the situation on the market.

Difficulties of service centers

Now you should not buy expensive smartphone models, because there will be problems with spare parts, Pobyvanets advised. Service centers are already seeing an increase in the flow of those wishing to fix their devices, while spare parts are still available, but they are few, he noted.

Rise in price and possible shortage

Based on what is happening on the market now, new phones will become much more expensive, he believes, and recommends that those who were going to buy a smartphone should not hesitate to buy a smartphone. In addition, due to supply difficulties and the hype from people who are trying to invest in electronics, there may be a shortage of goods in the market.

“People will buy up everything that is, and there may be a shortage of goods. While no one is talking about it, everything can be bought, and there was no super-unexpected price increase, but, in my opinion, if a person was thinking about buying a phone, then it is better to buy now and use the device calmly. The future belongs to budget smartphones

According to him, Russian smartphones with a completely domestic configuration cannot be bought anywhere, since the devices to some extent use components from China, so there is no need to count on import substitution in this industry yet.

In any case, the most popular phones in the near future will be affordable phones, the expert believes, but notes that their prices will not be the same. “A few years ago, a budget smartphone cost 6,000 rubles, then the price went closer to 10-12 thousand, now, apparently, a budget phone will cost 20 thousand rubles, and this will no longer be a joke, but the harsh reality of life,” concluded Pobyvanets.
