The Basque company AVS has manufactured two of the seven instruments that Perseverance carries. It is a drop-down that will measure the wind and a laser that will analyze the composition of the earth of the martian planet during the mission of the American ship.

Everything has been possible thanks to the aid received by European funds, the European Parliament bet on reinforcing its spatial strategy Thanks to this technology developed and its talent, this Basque company has come to participate in missions to Mars side by side with NASA.

To launch into space, they had to carry out numerous tests with cutting-edge technology that they showed a team from laSexta. The director of Space at AVS, Cristina Ortega, has shown some of them, like the cameras in which they are simulated environmental conditions on the Martian surface or room in which particle quantity and humidity are controlled.

Nevertheless, this will not be your only trip to Mars. They will do it again with the robotic hand that will collect the tubes from the Martian surface in order to transport and analyze them on Earth.
