CHARLIE-CRP third level alert in Poland – what does it mean?
Pursuant to the Act, the CHARLIE-CRP third alert level may be introduced “in the event of an event confirming the probable target of a terrorist attack”, which affects:
- security or public order,
- security of the Republic of Poland,
- security of another state or international organization and posing a potential threat to the Republic of Poland,
- obtain reliable and confirmed information about a planned terrorist event on the territory of the Republic of Poland,
- obtain reliable and confirmed information about a planned terrorist event, the consequences of which may affect Polish citizens staying abroad or Polish institutions or Polish infrastructure located outside the territory of the Republic of Poland.
“Any disturbing and unusual situations and threats should be reported to the Police via the 112 telephone number” – previously warned the Government Security Center.

The CRP alert level may be introduced throughout the country (as in this case) or in its individual areas. The alert level may also be limited to specific objects of organizational units of public administration, prosecutor’s office, or other objects of public administration infrastructure and critical infrastructure.
