The network found an Apple patent for a computer built into the keyboard. This is reported by Patently Apple.
The invention registration document was found on the website of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The new device is a keyboard, inside of which are components from a computer. According to the company’s engineers, this mini-computer can be easily carried with you and connected to accessories – you only need a monitor and a mouse for full-fledged work.

Journalists noted that this patent reveals the potential of the Apple Magic Keyboard branded keyboards. “The user can carry with him the keyboard in which the computer is located, and not the entire laptop or system unit with accessories,” the authors specified. The document says that the device hidden in the keyboard case will have acceptable performance. So, experts describe a solid substrate with high thermal conductivity, which will help cool the internal components of the device. Apple suggests using copper, aluminum, brass, steel or bronze for these purposes.
The patent was registered back in August 2020, but it was only published at the end of February. Inventors of the prototype include a chief Mac architect and a senior product design manager who has been with Apple for 16 years.
In February, an Apple patent for a computer with a ceramic case was discovered online. In the document, the company’s engineers explained that the choice of material is due to the introduction of touch buttons.
