Secret mode of Apple computers revealed

The new MacBook Pro laptops have a high performance hidden mode. This is reported by the MacRumors edition.

Media journalist Steve Moser discovered a mention of a secret high power mode in the macOS Monterey beta code. The specialist suggested that with certain settings, computers will operate at maximum performance.

The company has confirmed the existence of a special regime. According to Apple, this option is the opposite of Low Power Mode, in which the laptop reduces the frequency of the processor to conserve battery life. The high power mode will be used when processing large amounts of data, video and when interacting with complex graphics.

Apple also noted that the customization will only be available on high-end MacBook Pro laptops with a 16-inch screen and an M1 Max processor. 14-inch models will not support this option.

Earlier, experts found out that the new Apple laptops in the top configuration turned out to be more powerful than the PlayStation 5. Thus, the computer’s graphics accelerator can deliver 10.4 teraflops, while the Sony prefix is 10.28 teraflops.
