The gadget is priced at $77, while the original AirTag costs $29.
According to journalists, in fact, beacons began to be sold on the trading floor, which can be used to spy on people. The authors explained that if you toss the device into a user’s bag or pocket, AirTag will not make sounds, warning of possible surveillance.
The seller explained that he did not create the device for the purpose of violating privacy. According to him, AirTags like this can be useful when used on bicycles, power tools, pet collars. If items or pets are stolen, the hidden accessory will not reveal its location.
Earlier, activist Lilit Wittmann found the address of the German intelligence service using AirTag. The woman sent a smart beacon by mail and tracked the parcel.
