A redesigned Apple beacon called Silent AirTag has been listed for sale on eBay by Etsy JTEE3D. The author specified that the speaker was removed from the improved device, so the device is completely silent. The speaker is used in an Apple smart tag to detect it when it is lost. The gadget is priced at $77, while the original AirTag costs $29.
According to journalists, in fact, beacons began to be sold on the trading floor, which can be used to spy on people. The authors explained that if you toss the device into a user’s bag or pocket, AirTag will not make sounds, warning of possible surveillance.
