New pensioner ID card still in 2022. We know what it will look like

Old-age and disability pensioners are entitled to numerous discounts and. The right to them must be certified by a plastic ID, which is a standard, rectangular document. For several years, however, the government has been developing digital state documents. By the end of the year, retirement and disability pensioner ID cards are to be added to this list.

Retiree-pensioner ID cards. There is a new pattern

The ministry is responsible for the development of mLegitimation. Fakt.pl reached the draft regulation of the Ministry of Family and Social Policy.

Due to the increase in the level of computerization of the society and users of digital services, it is justified to extend the scope of the public mobile application by introducing the mLegitymacja retiree-pensioner service.

Since when are the new pensioner’s ID cards? How to make them?

The retirement pensioner’s certificate is to be issued from October 1, 2022.

“Such a long vacatio legis of the proposed regulation is proposed due to the necessity to initiate the public procurement procedure by the Social Insurance Institution in order to conclude an executive contract for the modification of the IT system and due to the time needed to adapt the system to the implementation of the mobile pensioner ID service” – we read in the justification to the draft regulation.

Plastic ID cards, the designs of which were changed in 2017, will remain valid. There will be no need to prepare mLegitimation. The digital application will have to be submitted to ZUS, its issuance is to be free of charge.
