Polish celebrities and influencers have been boasting about new avatars for several weeks, which show bears referring to their appearance. This is a promotional campaign Fancy Bears Metaverse – the new NFT collection created by Fanadise.

TechnoTerapia is a technological podcast of Gazeta.pl. In the latest episode, Daniel Maikowski and Robert Kędzierski talk about the madness around NFT tokens and mysterious images that have appeared on the profiles of many celebrities on social media in recent weeks.

The Fancy Bears collection contains 8888 pictures, and we can buy them only by using cryptocurrencies Ethereum. Or rather, we could, because all the pictures were said to have dispersed within a few hours. One such graphic in pre-sale had to be paid 0.15 ETH, i.e. about 2,000. zloty.

Fancy Bears Metaverse is a Polish response to the American Bored Ape Yacht Club project – a collection of almost 10,000. graphics cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, and some NFT avatars cost millions of dollars. The owners of “bored monkeys” are incl. Eminem, Jimmy Fallon, Future, and Steve Aoki.

What is NFT?

NFT are unique certificates that confirm the ownership of a specific digital good – in this case, it is about avatars. The certificate confirms that the picture is the original. Of course, digital goods can be kept or sold – preferably for a higher price. There are benefits to buying such a product, and it is no different with the Fancy Bears Metaverse.

NFT bear makers promise that members will be able to take part in the Ferrari car draw and other prizes as early as March 2022. There are also planned events in Europe and the United States that will be open only to owners of NFT avatars from this collection.
