Apple’s new computer revealed

Apple will release a powerful new square case in the style of the Power Mac. This is reported by the iDrop News edition.

Journalists cite a report by Bloomberg columnist Mark Gurman. The specialist noted that the American company plans to manufacture and release another computer based on an ARM chip. The device is conventionally called Mac Pro Cube – it will receive a square case and a powerful M1 Pro Max processor.

According to an insider, the visually revealed model will resemble the classic Power Mac G4 Cube computer, introduced under the leadership of Apple by Steve Jobs in 2000. The machine will be aimed at professional users, will have a 20-core processor and a 64-core graphics accelerator in the base version. In the top version, the chip will receive 40 cores, the graphics processor – 64 cores.

Blogger John Prosser confirmed Gourmet’s information, noting that the Mac Pro Cube will look like “a stack of four Mac minis.” “This shows how Apple is reaching back to its roots by bringing back some classics from the Steve Jobs era,” the media authors noted. The announcement of the new device should take place at the WWDC event in the summer of 2022.

The insider also said that Apple is not yet going to update its most powerful computer in the series – the Mac Pro. Devices based on Intel processors are still available for sale, despite the fact that Apple pulled out of cooperation with the chip manufacturer in mid-summer 2020.

The most expensive Apple laptop at the moment is the 16-inch MacBook Pro model based on the M1 Max chip. In the maximum configuration, the device is priced at 594,990 rubles.
