The chip is designed for use in flagship smartphones. The processor is created using the 4nm EUV process technology, has graphics on the RDNA 2 architecture from AMD. The device supports hardware ray tracing and Variable Rate Shading (VRS) technology available on game consoles. The component has eight cores: the main Cortex-X2 core, three productive Cortex-A710 and four energy-efficient Cortex-A510.
The Exynos 2200 supports 8K video recording with 4K HDR and cameras up to 200 megapixels. The chip can also work with next-generation neural networks.
“The Exynos 2200 will deliver an unrivaled gaming experience on smartphones, as well as enhance the overall experience for social media and photography applications,” the company said. The new processor has already been put into production, but representatives of the corporation did not specify whether it will appear in the Galaxy S22 flagship scheduled for February.
