Apple sued over headphones

Apple will be sued over issues with the popular Powerbeats Pro headphones. This is reported by Appleinsider.

A class action lawsuit was formed and filed in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. According to the documents, users are demanding compensation from the company due to defects in the Powerbeats Pro headphones released in 2019. The plaintiffs believe that in its marketing materials, Apple deceived consumers by hiding the design flaws in the device.

According to court documents filed against the company, users noticed a defect that caused the earbuds to not fit snugly against the pins while in the case. Because of this, the headset did not charge. Also in advertising, Apple convinced that the device was waterproof and intended for sports, but sweat could get inside the case and cause damage to the device.

The lawsuit was filed in New York State. After that, he was joined by owners of defective headphones from other states, including Georgia, Michigan, Montana, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Dakota and Virginia.

In mid-December 2021, it became known that Apple Watch users filed a class action lawsuit against Apple. Smartwatch owners accused the company of installing defective batteries that put consumers at risk of serious injury.
