Sony decided to increase production of PS4 consoles in order to reduce the shortage of consoles. Bloomberg reports.
According to agency sources, the Japanese company will continue to release the PlayStation 4 throughout 2022. The decision is due to the fact that there is a disruption in the global supply chain of components for PS5 production. Legacy consoles use less advanced chips and cheaper components, and are easier to assemble. In this way, Sony plans to reduce the global shortage of game consoles.
