Acer has released a laptop with 3D display function. This was reported on the company’s website.
This ConceptD 7 SpatialLabs Edition features a dedicated screen that converts 2D content into 3D. The device can convert to 3D video, images, games and picture during video conferences or video calls. Above the screen is a set of stereo cameras that track the position and movement of the user’s eyes and head to display content in stereoscopic format.
According to Acer engineers, powerful hardware is used to render the 3D image – an 11th generation Intel Core i7 processor, a GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card, up to 64 gigabytes of RAM and NVMe SSD drives with a capacity of up to two terabytes.
“Developers and designers can finally see their 3D creations in 3D during their workflow, so they can draw more accurate conclusions about the project, and not put it off until later,” said senior executive Jerry Kao.
ConceptD 7 SpatialLabs Edition goes on sale in December. The cost of the laptop will be at least 3600 euros, or about 313 thousand rubles.
Earlier, Acer introduced a series of computers with antibacterial coating. A special coating, consisting of silver ions, covers the outer parts of the device and prevents the growth of bacteria.
