Xiaomi POCO X7 PRO is the successor of a successful X6 PRO model, which was characterized by a very decent value for money. The new smartphone is available in three colors. I had the opportunity to test the “Special Edition” option, which with its design refers to the character of Iron Man and the Marvel comic universe.
X7 PRO in this version is undoubtedly one of the most original ones presenting smartphones on the market, although I realize that this style does not have to appeal to everyone. For these people, however, the manufacturer has prepared a more “conservative” black model.
Despite the phenomenal design and a number of interesting details (such as a red button or a “slippery” print with the Iron Man logotype) POCO X7 PRO IRON MAN EDITION It beats quite strongly with plastic. Both the frame and the back of the devices were made of plastic, which reminds us bluntly that we are dealing with a budget construction. However, I am pleased with the fact that The device display was covered with solid Corning Gorilla Glass 7I glass.
One of the biggest disadvantages of the X6 Pro model was the lack of norm IP68 water resistance. This time Xiaomi did not repeat this mistake. POCO X7 PRO can therefore be immersed to a depth of 1.5 m without fear of damage to the device.
Xiaomi Poco X7 Pro – what did I like the most?
Xiaomi POCO X7 PRO is advertised as a smartphone for players. The key aspect should therefore be its performance. And the tested equipment definitely has something to boast about. X7 PRO is equipped with a very strong system MediaTek Dimensity 8400-AUTRA, which was made in the process of 4 nanometers. We also have graphics available Mali G720 and as much as 12 GB of RAM.
How does this specification translate into the speed of the device? In the test Antut Benchmark V10.4.5 The smartphone won until 1 593 722 Points, which the X7 Pro puts in the group of the most efficient smartphones on the market. Xiaomi equipment was equally excellent results in the benchmark Geekbench 6:
- One core test: 1,595 points
- Test of many core: 5,777 points
- GPU system test: 11,096 points
In turn, in 3D tests Mark POCO X7 PRO managed as follows:
- Wild Life Extreme – 3 578 points
- Solar Bay – 5 789 points
- Steel Nomad Light – 1 266 points
If you are looking for a strictly playing smartphone, then on this The price shelf is hard to find something better. X7 Pro I tested in such titles as , . In each of these games, the smartphone offered very solid smoothness of the game. If any decreases in animation happened, they were incidental.
In addition, the manufacturer provided Game Turbo modewhich not only accelerates the operation of games (including by better memory management and prioritization of processes), but also presents a number of useful information about the game, including the current number of displayed frames per second (FPS).
The display used also has an undoubted effect on the pleasure of the game. It is a panel AMOLED diagonal 6.67 inches. As befits an organic screen, it is characterized by deep black and almost infinite contrast. As for clarity, it reaches 1,400 rivets in HBM mode and 3200 rivets (peak brightness). There was also a high -screen refresh rate (120 Hz).
I put another plus with the battery. POCO X7 PRO has a capacity battery 6000 mAh. This translates into about 16-17 hours of continuous video playback on YouTube (with Wi-Fi enabled and data transmission). With standard use, the smartphone should therefore withstand more than 2 days on one charge.
X7 PRO offers a fast charging function of Hypercharge with power to 90 W. In this way, the device from 0 to 100 percent be charged in about 40 minutes. There is only one “but”. We will not find in the set with the Hypercharg charger device. So we have to equip ourselves with a “cube” (unless we inherited it from one of the previous models.
Unfortunately, there was also no wireless charging. I am able to forgive the lack of this function in the lowest shelf smartphones, but in such equipment as POCO X7 Pro, the lack of induction is a big shortcoming that affects the final assessment of this device.
As befits in 2025, the smartphone has all the necessary communication modules. Is Bluetooth in version 5.4, Wi-Fi 802.11, NFC, 5G modemfunction Dual sim, modules GPS, BDS, Galileo and Algaeand even the infrared port, thanks to which we can change our smartphone into a TV remote control.
Xiaomi Poco X7 Pro – what disappointed me the most?
POCO X7 PRO, unlike the model without “Pro”, goes on sale with Android 15 and The latest version of the Hyperos 2.0 system overlay. And everything would be in the best order if only the manufacturer did not packed the device with a lot junky application. Even worse, not all of them can be uninstalled ourselves. Unfortunately, Chinese manufacturers have a big problem with Bloatware, and X7 Pro is a blunt example.
I was not impressed by the camera that only has two lenses – main 50 Mpix (f/1.5, OIS) and 8 Mpix ultra -hemocial (f/2.2) There was no telephoto lens and macro lens. Interestingly, the POCO X6 PRO model had a “eye” for macro photos, but its quality was – gently speak – bad.
Photos taken during the day look good. They are rich in details and offer good color reproduction. Of course, I refer to the main camera lens here. Unfortunately, the staff from “Macro” can lose details, and they are also washed out of colors.
As for night photothis is where the “budgetary” of this camera comes out. Don’t get me wrong. Using the “Night” mode, we can still shoot a nice frame, but it is a lottery. This is one of the few aspects in which the flagship models of smartphones still have a great advantage over cheaper competition.
VERDICT
POCO X7 PRO is not a smartphone for everyone. Unusual design and extensive gaming functions are clear tips that we are dealing with a device tailored to younger users and admirers of mobile playing. The Xiaomi device is distinguished by high performance, a great OLED screen and a strong battery. In turn, its biggest minuses include a large number of Bloatware applications, no induction charging and a fairly average camera.
