Phonearena: smartphones have reached the limit for performance growth
Phonearena journalists said that smartphone manufacturers need to stop competing with each other in the power of their devices. The material is available on the media website.
Experts appreciated the actual flagships of the Apple iPhone 16 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. In their opinion, both phones demonstrate excellent performance, but their creators did not solve the problem with overheating. “High -performance chips consume a lot of energy, which leads to heat release,” the authors emphasized.
According to them, modern smartphones have reached the limit of growth performance – the power of the devices is considered unnecessary, since there are no tasks that they cannot solve. However, large companies continue to compete with each other due to the introduction of artificial intelligence tools (AI).
Separately, experts noted the problem of AI – smartphone manufacturers are trying to add artificial intelligence to all gadgets, although they have not yet come up with convincing options for use. “The average user does not need insanely high speeds. In the end, the smartphone is not a device focused on performance, ”the journalists concluded.
Earlier, the Association of trading companies and producers of electrical and computer equipment (RATEK) filed a complaint with the FAS for low electronics on marketplaces. Representatives of offline trading are sure that marketplaces are engaged in dumping.
