Logitech has released a smart radar to track employees in the office

The American company Logitech has released a gadget to improve work processes in the office. This is reported by the publication Techradar.

The smart radar Logitech Spot analyzes the room in which it is placed, estimates the number of people per square meter, and also collects data on temperature and pressure. The company noted that the device collects information and gives tips to improve climate and optimization of work processes.

Techradar journalists directly said that Spot will allow the leader to monitor the subordinates: for example, a radar can show how many employees are in the workplace and even what they are doing. Logitech said that the device does not threaten confidentiality, but “reveals a secret how people use free space.”

The company noted that the real reason for the inefficiency of employees is not in physical fatigue, but in the improper use of the existing space and the quality of the air. As a confirmation of their words, they referred to the research of Harvard University (USA) and the University of Berkeley (USA), which said that a high level of carbon dioxide and the presence of aerosols in the air can reduce cognitive functions.

Spot sensors will appear on sale in the second half of 2025. Their cost is not disclosed, but the radars will work on a subscription for $ 199.

In August, Logitech announced the output of the “eternal” computer mouse by subscription. A few days after the announcement, the company abandoned the plans and called the idea “terrible”.
