FFKKR: Breeding skaters are US citizens, ours could not be there
The Russian figure skating federation announced the absence of Russian athletes in an airplane crashed in the United States. It is reported by the Telegram channel Shot.
“These are US citizens, we could not be there, we do not comment on,” the FFKKR said.
Earlier it became known that there were skaters flying from the US championship in Kansas on board the aircraft. Among them were the world champions in paired skating from Russia Evgeny Shishkova and Vadim Naumov, their son Maxim Naumov, who took fourth place at the US championship. According to preliminary information, there was also a bronze medalist of the USSR Figure Skating Championship in pairs Inna Volyanskaya.
The passenger plane crashed in the United States near the Ronald Reagan airport. The airliner, when landing, collided with a military helicopter and fell into the Potomak River.
