Bloomberg: Apple to Release $1,000 Home Robot No Later Than 2027
Apple Corporation has planned to release a desktop robot. This is reported by Bloomberg.
According to the agency’s observer Mark Gurman, the company continued to implement its project to produce a robot for the home. The device will have a large screen, like an iPad, mounted on a thin robotic arm. This detail will allow the device to rotate 360 degrees.
The gadget will act as a “command center” to which other smart Apple devices will be able to connect. The device will be able to communicate via video calls, use the Siri voice assistant and the built-in Apple Intelligence neural network. According to information disclosed by Mark Gurman, Apple hopes to release the device no later than 2027. The cost of the robot should be no more than $1,000, or about 89 thousand rubles.
The insider said that the executives of the American IT giant had been considering the idea of creating a home robot for some time. However, only now has Apple’s vice president of technology Kevin Lynch received instructions to start working on the gadget. Lynch, among other things, oversaw projects to create Apple’s smartwatch and develop a driverless car. The latter was canceled in February.
In early July, Bloomberg insider Mark Gurman reported that Apple was going to release a home robot. The device will receive support for artificial intelligence (AI).
