ET News: Apple Launches iPhone 16 Mass Production, Announcement Set for September
American company Apple has launched mass production of iPhone 16 series smartphones to announce the devices in September, the Korean publication ET News reports.
According to media sources, the company’s South Korean partners, Samsung Display and LG Display, have expanded their production of OLED panels. Media journalists noted that this move could accurately indicate that Apple needed a large number of front panels to assemble the screens of the new iPhones.
Apple is expected to produce 90 million new phones, with Samsung Display and LG Display providing the corporation with 120 million panels. The bulk of the order — 80 million OLED panels — will be supplied by Samsung Display. BOE is also responsible for some of the supplies, with panels currently being tested by Apple before production begins.
In conclusion, the authors of ET News noted that the start of mass production means that the American IT giant intends to announce new gadgets exactly on time. Apple is going to present the iPhone 16 in September.
Earlier, journalists from 9to5Mac predicted the date of the iPhone 16 presentation based on leaks and past data. According to experts, the new smartphones will be announced on September 10.
