All iPhone 16 specifications will be revealed long before release

The Korea Times: Apple to Reveal iPhone 16 Specs Because of South Korea

Apple will have to disclose information about the upcoming iPhone 16 series smartphones in advance, The Korea Times reports.

According to media journalists, the American company may launch iPhone 16 sales in South Korea for the first time in years, along with the rest of the world. Because of this, the IT giant will have to disclose all the characteristics of the new devices – this is required by local laws.

Sources familiar with the situation said that in its quest to increase sales, Apple intends to launch sales of the iPhone 16 in many markets at once, including Korea. The last time Apple smartphones appeared on the Korean market was in the first wave of sales back in 2009, with the release of the iPhone 3Gs. The corporation will have to inform local regulators of the device specifications in advance, and thus they may end up in the public domain.

The Korea Times experts explained that the US regulator does not disclose the characteristics of new smartphones that have passed certification. In turn, the United States has a mutual recognition agreement with European countries and Japan, so the latter also do not declassify the characteristics of new gadgets.

Bloomberg sources previously reported that Apple intends to introduce new smartphones in September, despite internal problems. The release of the Apple Intelligence neural network will take place later, before the end of the year.
