University of Warsaw. More than 24 people per place
By the end of July, over 30,000 high school graduates had enrolled at the University of Warsaw. The universities indicated that the most popular course of study was medicine, where there were 24.6 candidates per place for full-time, uniform master’s studies.
In second place was Oriental Studies – Japanese Studies, full-time, first-cycle, with 22.8 candidates per place, followed by Business and Management, full-time, first-cycle, with 19.1 candidates. Oriental Studies – Korean Studies and Sinology, and Psychology were also popular. In all fields of study, there were more than 10 applicants per place.
At the Warsaw University of Technology and AGH, cybersecurity turned out to be the most popular topic
During the first stage, over 9.8 thousand applicants were registered for the Warsaw University of Technology. However, TVN24 emphasized that this did not include the branch in Płock or candidates who did not have Polish citizenship. The most popular major among prospective students turned out to be cybersecurity – with 19.1 candidates per place. Mechanics and machine design, as well as mathematics and data analysis also made it to the podium.
At the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, 8.5 thousand people submitted applications. Cybersecurity was also considered the most popular among the fields of study – 10.4 candidates per place. Right behind it were engineering and data analysis and computer science and intelligent systems.
Criminology has gained popularity at the University of Gdańsk
The University of Gdańsk recorded almost 30 thousand people applying for admission to first-cycle and uniform master’s studies. The most applicants per place applied for criminology – 13.1 candidates. Second place went to journalism and social communication, with a similarly high result of 12.4 candidates per place. The podium was closed by Japanese studies, followed by psychology, which also had over 10 applicants per place.
