Bloomberg: Apple to Release iPhone 16 on Time Despite AI Issues
Apple Inc. intends to introduce new smartphones in September despite internal problems, Bloomberg columnist Mark Gurman reports.
According to Gurman, the American company will not delay the announcement and release of the iPhone 16 series smartphones. The specialist said that the presentation will take place in September, but did not disclose more specific dates.
The journalist also noted that the release of the proprietary neural network — Apple Intelligence — will be delayed. Gurman first reported this at the end of June. Thus, the new functions will be available on Apple devices later this fall.
Mark Gurman reported that he has evaluated the beta version of iOS 18 with Apple Intelligence. According to him, the company’s programmers will have to pay enough attention to the service with artificial intelligence (AI), since it is not yet “revolutionary”, as Apple wants.
The reviewer said that in the new version of iOS you can try out the “smarter and more beautiful” voice assistant Siri. However, the new features did not impress the author.
Earlier, journalists from 9to5Mac stated that Apple will present the iPhone 16 series smartphones in mid-September. Media experts tried to predict the exact date of the gadgets’ announcement – September 10.
